I Love DC

i love dcI NEED YOUR HELP

In october 2013, Erik Van Loon will realise I LOVE DC at a parking lot in Washington DC. . This is a photo of 175 red and 50 black cars parked in a I LOVE DC setting. The I LOVE DC ‘Polaroid’ photo will be hanged from a tunnel chimney in Washington DC.

I LOVE DC

With as result that the giant I Love DC ‘Polaroid’ photo of the 225 immortalized cars will make the chimney look much more nicer and everybody: cars entering or passing the tunnel, people in the neigboorhood, tourist and commuters walking, cycling or in public transport will be welcomed by the enourmous I Love DC photo to the lovely place Mount Vernon Triangle nowadays is.

JOIN

Wouldn’t it be great if you join my affection for US Capitol Washington DC by creating I LOVE DC together with 225 car owners and Indiegogo funders from all over the world at February 10 four days before Valentine Day 2013 and eight days before Presidents Day 2013.

IN RETURN

Car Owners Will get free coffee or tea, a sandwhich and a signed 22×34 inch I Love DC poster by mail at Valentinesday for the three hours to set up all cars in the desired setting and to make an I Love DC photo from above. Indiegogo Funders Will get at Valentine for each:
- $ 5,- a digital 5 mb photo (UNLIMITED) by email
- $ 25,- a signatured 4″ × 6″ inch photo (225 PIECES) by mail
- $ 100,- a signatured 22″ × 34″ inch poster (175 PIECES) by mail
- $ 250,- a 72 pages black and red booklet (50 PIECES) with on each page 4 photo’s of car owners, their cars and their bio by mail AFTER VALENTINE.

COST

I will use the money to raise awarness of car red and black owners via flyers, social media and website, to give the particpants food, drink and the poster, to rent a helicopter, to pay a photograph, the prints and to blow up I LOVE DC to a 6 x 9 yards enourmous Polaroid photo which I want to paperclip on the Highway 395 tunnel chimney running under Mount Vernon Square in the city center of Washington. All this will cost approximately $ 16.000,- and another $ 600 a year for maintenance and lighting. So 10 years I Love DC will cost $ 22.000. With a full pledge we will raise more then $ 35.500. Which is more then enough to pay my own expenses and to pay the initial cost to set up my most favorite artwork 1968 Whirligig.

SUPPORT

Please contact me if you can’t fund I Love DC but would love to help me: – to find 225 red or black cars in Washington DC or surrounding states – to serve coffee, tea and sandwhiches to the 225 participants – to make the booklet, photos and posters – to find sufficient Indiegogo funders – to post the mail, etc As I can use your help for sure.
