The Delft
Juli 1, 2010

A friend of me is architect and we gonna work together on some projects. Which will be wonderful especially as I want to realize The Delft a bridge which looks like a ship.

It's a livingbridge as people can go to the restaurant area between the two pier below the road. The tunnel on the bridge has large panorama windows through which bicyclist and pedestrians can watch the river when they cross the river through this convenient tunnel.

More photos over The Delft will follow soon.

A Victim's Perspective
January 27, 2010

In 2004, exactly 60 years after the liberation of Auschwitz I made a film about the liberation of Auschwitz. The video installation A Victim's Perspective had its worldpremiere at the San Francisco Jewish Film Festival in San Francisco.

You can learn more about A Victim's Perspective here. I made the mural below in the Schoonderloo Studio's in Rotterdam.

Huisje (Little House)
Jnauary 14, 2010

Since childhood I am fascinated by our galaxy and space exploration. In various artworks I have incorporated this fascination. In my work "60" I painted the moon landing and in my work "I Will Win 5 - The History" I painted the moon landing and the Big Dipper.

The Big Dipper and Google Earth inspired me in 2007 to create a contemporary piece of art which we can all see with computer programs like Google Earth and TerraServer when we go to Vlaardingen, the Netherlands.

In September 2010 I will paint 21 big white circles containing a number ranging from 1 to 21 on apartment buildings in Vlaardingen, the Netherlands. If one connects each numbered circle an archetype House of 1.2 kilometers emerges.

After the House in Vlaardingen, the Netherlands (Europe), I want the realize Tree in South America, Animal in Africa and Car in North America.

Manifesta 2010
February 28, 2009

At the moment I am working at 12 Stars for Manifesta 2010 in Murcia. 12 Stars is adopting Murcia’s Strategy Against Climate Change (Estrategia Local Contra el Cambio Climático) as it use 12 solar light cannons to beam 12 Stars toward heaven. In the next flash you get a glance of the 12 Stars which are inspired by among others the European Flag, the Twin Tower Memorial in New York, the Brandgrens in Rotterdam and Manifesta theme “the ideas at the edges of a continent”.

Fight For Love - New York
November 11, 2008

Some people think that I go each year to New York for just I Will Win but at the following video you can also see that I did a Fight For Love performance during Halloween in New York City.

Fight For Love is inspired by Barack Obama as you can see at the photo below:

With Fight For Love we commemorate the U.S. Presidential Election. So forget all the negative ads, rhetoric, debates and polls while you cheer on a fight to the death, between McCain and Obama

Fight For Love draw also attention for an increased awareness of the violence prevalent in society. Hopefully, this and future Fight For Love artshows held in cities throughout the world will help fulfill John and Yoko's dream to 'Give Peace A Chance.'

The photo Beijing 2008 (100 x 60 cm) is inspired by the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. Like other big sport manifestations the atletes used many condoms. In four weeks the 16.000 atletes and coaches from all over the world used 120.000 condoms. The photo of those tastefull condoms are printed on aluminium and costs 850 euro each.

Art is for me communication whereby I want to reach public beyond the art world (Beyond Art) on my own power with the use of mass media in order to move them literal and metaphorically with work that doesn't create only beauty but also incites discovery, stimulates reflection, and generates self-knowledge, which will eventually increase understanding, exchange, and cooperation between governments, companies and people worldwide.
