The Kineticus is an artwork whereby the wind communicates with us by turning around nine characters on three pillars. With as result that the wind creates in total 27 different English trilateral words which will evoke memories and which will motivate and inspire people to communicate 24 hours a day with each other.

The words (meanings) are:

Pillar I – G, B, F

Pillar II – E, I, A

Pillar III - N, D, T

GEN BEN FEN   GIN BIN FIN   GAN BAN FAN
GED BED FED   GID BID FID   GAD BAD FAD
GET BET FET   GIT BIT FIT   GAT BAT FAT

I would like to realize this artwork for the Moma in New York as Moma is for me and others a temple to talk, to write, to listen, to sing, to dream, to chat, to think and to relax.

The technique of the Kinetikus is very simple; I only need wind to rotate the triangular boxes freely about their shaft. Although, “the Kinetikus” will also have an extra communication tool so that people can communicate with “the Kinetikus” via SMS technology. Furterhermore, "the Kinetikus" is inspired by two beautiful kinetic artworks “Two Turning Vertical Rectangles” and “Three Columns” of the great American artist George Rickey in Rotterdam

Moma New York

At the moment I try to realize the Kinetkus for Moma's Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Sculpture Garden.

The lightartwork

The orginal design for the Kinetikus is evaluated from a metal George Rickey (one of my favorite artist) into a Vermeer construction. The metal triangular boxes are replaced by abstract earrings in I-Pod look. The white pearls (boxes) are transparent and at night the transparent boxes will be lighted by inner light. You can read more about in the chapter lightartwork

Dutch Version

The Kineticus can also be realised in a Dutch Version.
