I Will Win 5 - The History is ready. The History draws attention to the 400 years friendship between the Netherlands and New York.

photo: Emiel van Lint

This photo I just made at 11:00 AM at the Bronx side of the Willis Av. Bridge.

Since 2005 I show every year a selfportrait of 10 x 6 meters (= 30 by 22 feet.) along the course of the ING New York City Marathon in order to give WNBC-helikopters the opportunity to film-broadcast my latest I Will Win selfportait for 6-7 seconds into the homes of 260 million people in 125 countries. (see the pressletter)\

In order to make this happen I will give 400 red tulips, one for each year we are friends, away to 400 runners who run the New York City Marathon this sunday. I will give the red tulips away in front of my next I Will Win selfportrait (see location

Tulips will surprise New York

Art is for me communication whereby I want to reach public beyond the art world (Beyond Art) on my own power with the use of mass media in order to move them literal and metaphorically with work
that doesn't create only beauty but also incites discovery, stimulates reflection, and generates self-knowledge, which will eventually increase understanding, exchange, and cooperation between governments, companies and people worldwide.
