Harajuku Bridge, 原宿
December 16th 2007, Tokyo
12:00 – 17:00

On December 16th, 2007, the renowned artists Erik Van Loon and Femke Dekker will reveal their next international artshow Fight For Love. In this Guerilla-style artshow, ordinary people fight against each other as kissboxers in order to win Fight For Love.

The Fight
The fights will be three rounds of one minute and will be decided by the kissboxer who has kissed the other the most times or by a technical kiss-out of 4 kisses. The only rule is that the kisses have to be made above the belt.

The Inspiration
This kissboxing tournament Fight For Love is inspired by among others the annual K1 finale in Tokyo whereby contenders from all over the world fight against each other in order to obtain fightsports' most coveted belt and a winner's purse of USD 400,000. But we have a much bigger prize for each participant:
- each participant will get an artbook with their Kissboxing profile in it
- and they can watch themselves back at home on Fight For Love Youtube.
The winner will get:
- an impressive belt made out of 100 heart-shaped sweets made by Femke Dekker
- world fame when they win the final of the Fight For Love in Tokyo.

World Champion Kissboxing Erik Van Loon from The Netherlands finally
kissed out Femke Dekker by a thunderous right upperkiss against her chin.

The Playground
On a playground of 2.5 x 2.5 m2 at Harajuku Bridge participants will fight against each other in an open tournament on Sunday, December 16th from 12:00-17:00 and the whole tournament will be filmed by Paul Wouters.

The Mission
Fight For Love will be like John Lennon and Yoko Onno's Bed-in for Peace in 1969 to draw attention to the prevalence of violence in society. Hopefully this and next Fight For Love artshows in cities throughout the world will make John Lennon and Yoko Onno's dream 'Give Peace A Chance' come true.

The Exhibition - book
Photos, a short video, and a profile of each kissboxer will be exhibited in galleries and published in an art book, which all participants will get.
