The Photo

The Photo is an erotic play between Ron Volkaine and Katy Kavanaugh.

Scene:

1. Terrace:
In front of a New York City styled Edward Hopper terrace Ron Volkaine is reading a glossy magazine with some great photos of Katy Kavanaugh. At that same moment Katy is passing by and ask him why he is watching her:

2. Bedroom:

Sundaymorning early

In the bedroom (behind a linnen sheet) Katy and Ron will make love. The conversation between them will be very exciting and the audience will become mad. The light behind the vertical hanging sheet shows the shadow of Katy and Ron like an Indonesian shadowplay. Wayang kulit (shadow play) became a Masterpiece of Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity at november 7, 2003 of the UNESCO.

Storyboard:
A third (extra) person show at the same time the conversation
- at pink textboards for the lines of Katy and all women have to read it loud and
- at blue textboards for the lines of Ron and all men have to read it loud.

So when Katy says: "Hello, why do you look at me that way?"	pink	all women have to read this sentence.
When Ron reacts: “No, in real you look prettier.”	blue	all men have to read this sentence.

The storyboards are inspired by the oldest videoclip / protest song Subterranean Homesick Blues form Bob Dylan:

After some drinks and talks they take a cab to his house and end up in his bedroom.

The audience:

During the terrace scene the audience get time to get used to the fact that they have to read the textboards load as the scene in the bedroom the audience will only see Katy and Rons shadows on the linnen sheet.

Now the actors can fully concentrate themselves on acting like in a silent film.
