New York City warmt snel op. Om de opwarming tegen te gaan probeert men met het programma Million Trees NYC de opwarming een halt toe te roepen. Het planten van bomen is niet alleen belangrijk voor de 7 miljoen mensen die in NYC wonen, maar ook voor de biljoenen planten en dieren.

Central Park - Longen van de stad
Eind 1850, had New York City behoefte aan een plek om te ontsnappen uit de eigen stedelijking. In 1858, schreven Frederick Law Olmsted en Calvert Vaux een ontwerpwedstrijd uit voor een park. Het Central Park kwam hieruit voort. Het Central Park wordt tegenwoordig de 'longen van de stad' genoemd. Vandaag de dag is een project als Central Park bijvoorbeeld om de opwarming tegen te gaan niet meer mogelijk.

Crowd Park Queens
Daarom zoeken we zoiets als een Crowd park. Een park van miljoenen kleine tuinen verspreid over de stad, op balkons, ramen, trottoirs, tuinen, dak en muren. In deze mini tuinen kunnen bloemen, heide, struiken en bomen leven en bijen, eekhoorns, vlinders, vogels, etc kunnen daar hun weg vinden.

Broeikas
Om mensen te helpen met hun mini tuin hebben we behoefte aan een broeikas:
- Om planten te beschermen tegen de winter
- Om bijenkorten op te slaan en te beschermen
- Om mensen te onderwijzen over mini tuinen.

New York City is heating up fast. Therefore we need more trees in New York. This is not only important for the 7 million people living in NYC but also for the trillion plants and animals.

Central Park - Lungs of the city
In the late 1850s, New York City needed a place to escape from its own urban crush. In 1858, Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux won a design competition to improve and expand the Central Park with a plan they entitled the Greensward Plan. The Central Park are nowadays New York´s ´Lungs of the city´. A project like Central Park for example to slow down the heating up of New York would prove far more difficult now a days, if not impossible.

Crowd Park Queens
That´s why we need something like a Crowd park. A park of million mini gardens spread all over the city at balcony's, windows, pavements, gardens, roof's and walls with flowers, heath and tree's were animals like bee's, butterflies, birds, etc can find their way to bring prosperity.

Greenhouse
To help people to start their own mini garden we need a place:
- to shelter plants that can´t stay outside during winter,
- to store/protect beehives
- to educate people how they start their own mini garden.
